When Andrew Wolff came back from the UK [where his family is based] in March 2007, he declared during the press conference for a glutathione product that the reason his father allowed him to go home to Manila was his plan to finish school. He proudly stated in one news report that his studies will be "his top priority" and that he can "give up modeling if needed." He even confided to the movie press then that he wasn't "too keen on a career in showbusiness." Now, it looks like showbiz and modeling still top Andrew Wolff's to-do list in Manila. Reports have it that he is entering the Big Brother house soon - enough to disrupt the placid lives of the other model-housemates who entered the big house last weekend.

Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 hunks
William Devaughn is one of the hunks who just entered the Pinoy Big Brother house last night for the reality show's Celebrity Edition 2. Dubbed by the cheesy writers of the show as "True Lover", Will’s chosen charity is the Brave Kids Foundation, which helps kids with cancer. Now that he has chosen to enter the Big Brother house, does it mean that he has totally abandoned the "Dagaw" movie project with GMA Films? Will was originally cast in the thriller, as he was present during the story conference.
Okay, here's the official tag for Victor Basa in the PBB Celeb Edition 2: The Lonely Dreamboy. Victor Basa just can't seem to break into the Sam Milby heartthrob mold, despite exposures in a teen show on ABS CBN. Here's hoping the pouty former male model gets his star brighter this time. Victor’s chosen charity is the Ahon sa Kalye Ministries Inc. that helps street children.

Jake Cuenca is the new Palos
With photos sent in by the mysterious harrychuachika [no more Harry pics?] , crotch-clutcher Jake Cuenca is the new Palos, the 60's komiks character popularized by Bernard Bonnin. Palos is an adaptation of the Alyas Palos franchise of LVN Pictures, where the main character was a slippery Jame Bond-like mercenary with state-of-the-art skills.

Johnron's video Hubad is out
Johnron Tanada's video, Hubad: Striptease Sessions for Daring Men is now out in retail stores. The video, which comes in DVD and VCD format was released without much publicity. I haven't seen the video yet but mallrats who were able to buy a copy of the feature immediately upon being stacked in store shelves, swear by Johnron's sexy dance numbers in, of course, scant clothing. Johnron appears with other dancers in the movie.

The Kill Bill moment

At a tony bar last night, my friend and I couldn't get a decent swig out of our bottles, largely due to the fact there were oodles of good-looking boys and we had to stare. Thing is, they had girlfriends with them - girls who felt special and twisty and girly because they are in the company of clear-faced cute boys. Suddenly, bored friend goes loose with his gayspeak: "This is the perfect Kill Bill moment." Turns out, "Kill Bill" is supposed to mean "Kill the bilat" - ice the bitch and lech for the hunk. I'm not so sure if such term is being used these days, as it was my first time to hear it, although my catty friend assured me that he heard it long ago from his older friends. Anyhow, as we rattled off other funny Pinoy gayspeak phrases, we had wicked fun last night.

Martin Jickain scuttlebutt
1. At the Quezon City Hall last Monday, the parking boys [and onlookers] were in a frenzy. Martin Jickain's estranged wife was giving away his shoes - lots of them - as contained in one of the councilor's service trucks. Most of the shoes were sneakers and trainers, and the parking boys and city hall personnel were just too happy to have 'em shoes worn by the cute model.2. At the Chika Mo Chika Ko show [6-7 pm, Saturdays at UNTV Channel 21 on Sky and Channel 99 on Destiny], the funny hosts were rattling off a blind item about a recently-separated male model who went back to his relationship with the tv director-boyfriend. Of course, there are no blind items in the show as the hosts eventually name the subjects. The hosts identified the male model and the director of the morning show Sis on GMA 7. Hilarious show. You should watch it guys.

That's nudist Harold Montano again, reveling under the naked sun. I'm wondering whatever happened to his exploitation case with GMA 7? He [and his cohort, the other naked guy] did not gain fame or even notoriety from that gambol, one thing's for sure. I don't see him in the indie-digital flicks being produced these days. Not even in the runways of bikinidom, sleaze and all. Nevertheless, let's just hope [assuming there are people out there who terribly relish this guy] that his daring posturing will eventually make him famous, however fleeting.

Rico Lazaro doubles for Piolo Pascual
Last July, I had a post on a Piolo Pascual doppelgänger by the name of Rico Lazaro. He was at the Mister Philippines contest where host Angel Aquino addressed him as Mr. Piolo. Turns out, the good-looking winner of the Mr. Young Philippines-World 2005 is making full use of his physical alikeness with the superstar heartthrob. He was the double of Piolo Pascual in his indie movie Chopsuey, which was shown recently. Rico Lazaro admits that his resemblance to the actor is his main ticket to showbiz. He is now starring as the lead actor in the movie Kapatiran [Hazing] by Artist Entertainment Works International. Now, if only there's a Sam Milby clone out there, the Heartthrobs duo would be complete.
